Dr. Marc Chaiken

With advancements in modern medical technology, many gynecologic procedures and surgeries are successfully performed in the office. As an expert in minimally invasive surgery, top gynecologist Marc L. Chaiken, MD, FACOG, regularly performs an array of procedures on an outpatient basis. Dr. Chaiken offers both routine and gynecologic surgical care at Capital Women’s Care in Fulton, Maryland.

After earning his undergraduate degree from College Park at the University of Maryland, Dr. Chaiken completed his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. Dr. Chaiken participated in a rotating medicine internship at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, followed up by his residency training in gynecology and obstetrics at Emory University in Atlanta.

Dr. Chaiken served as chairman of the professional medical staff at Howard County General in Columbia, Maryland. He maintains privileges for patients in need of inpatient care at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Maryland as well as Saint Agnus Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Since Dr. Chaiken has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and in-office surgical procedures, he upholds a membership with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Dr. Chaiken is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is also a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

As one of the first physicians in the United States to perform a hysteroscopy procedure, Essure® sterilization, and endometrial ablation right in the office using local anesthesia, Dr. Chaiken is highly sought for his surgical techniques. Dr. Chaiken is trained and credentialed to perform robotic laparoscopic surgery.
