Dr. Jacqueline Braden
Dr. Jacqueline Braden is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, and is fellowship-trained in Minimally invasive Gynecologic Surgery.
After earning a dual Bachelor degree in Biology and Latin American Studies from New York University in 2003, Dr. Braden worked as a Clinical Session Assistant at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Breast Cancer Center in New York City. She then commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army in 2004, and completed her medical education at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008. Dr. Braden attended residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii. Following residency, she was stationed at Martin Army Community Hospital in Columbus, GA for five years, during which she served as Chief of Obstetrics, Chief of the OB/GYN clinic and ultimately Chief of the Department of Women’s Health. As an Army physician, she deployed to Afghanistan in 2014. She then went on to complete fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD in 2019, and is the current MIGS Division Chief at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She is core faculty for both the MIGS fellowship and the OB/GYN residency program at Walter Reed, and is an Assistant Professor at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. Dr. Braden is board certified and re-certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Braden specializes in advanced gynecologic laparoscopic and robotic surgery, but remains passionate about all aspects of women’s health care. She is dedicated to delivering a full spectrum of high-quality Gynecologic and Obstetric care. Dr. Braden believes that every woman should be an active participant in her own healthcare, and embraces each woman’s personal values as a central component in medical decision-making. She is excited to join the team at Capital Women’s Care in Howard County.
Dr. Braden will be assisting with our call schedule and attending patients at the hospital through the summer.
